Drawings – How to play with drawings
Symbols
Lines
Buy Symbol
Adds a “Buy” symbol to the chart, represented by a green arrow pointing upwards.
To add the symbol to the graph, simply click on the position on the graph where you intend to place it. After adding the symbol to the graph it is possible to move it by clicking on the symbol itself to select it and then dragging it to the new position while keeping the left mouse button pressed. CANC key to cancel.
Horizontal Line
Adds a horizontal line drawn from the left margin to the right margin of the chart area to the chart.
To add the line to the graph, simply click on the position on the graph where you intend to place it. After adding the line to the graph it is possible to move it by clicking on the line itself to select it and then dragging it to the new position while keeping the left mouse button pressed.
After selecting the line on the graph, clicking with the right mouse button and choosing “Format Object” from the menu, the object setting window will open. CANC key to cancel.
Sell Symbol
Adds a “Sell” symbol to the chart, represented by a red arrow pointing down.
To add the symbol to the graph, simply click on the position on the graph where you intend to place it. After adding the symbol to the graph it is possible to move it by clicking on the symbol itself to select it and then dragging it to the new position while keeping the left mouse button pressed.CANC key to cancel.
Vertical Line
Adds a vertical line to the chart drawn from the top margin to the bottom margin of the chart area.
To add the line to the graph, simply click on the position on the graph where you intend to place it. After adding the line to the graph it is possible to move it by clicking on the line itself to select it and then dragging it to the new position while keeping the left mouse button pressed.
After selecting the line on the graph, clicking with the right mouse button and choosing “Format Object” from the menu, the object setting window will open. CANC key to cancel.
Exit Symbol
Adds an “Exit” symbol to the graph, represented by a purple diagonal cross.
To add the symbol to the graph, simply click on the position on the graph where you intend to place it. After adding the symbol to the graph it is possible to move it by clicking on the symbol itself to select it and then dragging it to the new position while keeping the left mouse button pressed. Trend Line
Adds a line drawn between two points chosen on the graph to the graph.
To add the line to the graph, simply click on the position on the graph where you intend to place it, keep the mouse button clicked and move to the second point, and finally release the button. After adding the line to the graph, it can be moved by clicking one of the control points of the line to select it and then dragging it to the new position while holding down the left mouse button.
After selecting the line on the graph, clicking with the right mouse button and choosing “Format Object” from the menu, the object setting window will open. CANC key to cancel.
Text
Adds a new free text area on the chart.
To add the text area to the graph, simply click on the position on the graph where you intend to place it.As soon as the text area is added to the graph, the object setting window will immediately open, where you can write the text to be displayed , choose the Font, and set the color.
A double click on a text area already present in the graph, or a click with the right mouse button after selecting the area itself, by choosing the “Format Object” item in the menu, will open the same window for setting the object .
After adding the text area to the graph, you can move it by clicking on it to select it and then dragging it to the new position while keeping the left mouse button pressed.
Text is always left aligned. CANC key to cancel.
Percent Line
Adds to the graph a line drawn between two points chosen on the graph, showing the difference in time, expressed in bars, and in value expressed as a percentage, between them.
To add the line to the graph, simply click on the position on the graph where you intend to place it, keep the mouse button clicked and move to the second point, and finally release the button. After adding the line to the graph, it can be moved by clicking one of the control points of the line to select it and then dragging it to the new position while holding down the left mouse button.
After selecting the line on the graph, clicking with the right mouse button and choosing “Format Object” from the menu, the object setting window will open. CANC key to cancel.
Alert Line
Adds a horizontal line to the chart that acts as a trigger price, drawn from the left margin to the right margin of the chart area. When the price crosses the line a warning message will be generated. It is possible to set which crossing direction to use for the generation of the trigger, for example if the price exceeds it upwards or downwards, or in both directions. The direction of the trigger is displayed by means of colored triangles next to the price value of the line.
To add the line to the graph, simply click on the position on the graph where you intend to place it. After adding the line to the graph it is possible to move it by clicking on the line itself to select it and then dragging it to the new position while keeping the left mouse button pressed.
After selecting the line on the graph, clicking with the right mouse button and choosing “Format Object” from the menu, the object setting window will open. CANC key to cancel.

Ellipse
Adds an ellipse to the graph, defined by 4 control points, which represent the four corners of the rectangle that contains it.
To add the ellipse to the graph, simply click on the position on the graph where you intend to place it, keep the mouse button clicked and move to the opposite corner, and finally release the button. After adding the ellipse to the graph it is possible to move it by clicking on one of the control points of the ellipse itself to select it and then dragging it to the new position while keeping the left mouse button pressed.
After selecting the ellipse on the graph, clicking with the right mouse button and choosing the item “Format Object” from the menu, the object setting window will open. CANC key to cancel.
Error Channel
Adds to the chart a channel consisting of 3 lines, automatically calculated starting from the prices included within the time interval defined by the channel itself. The midline represents the Linear Regression of prices, while the lower and upper lines are spaced from the median by 2 standard deviations.
To add the channel to the graph, simply click on the graph on the initial bar where you intend to place it, keep the mouse button clicked and move to the final bar, and finally release the button. After adding the channel to the graph it is possible to move it by clicking on one of the control points to select it and then dragging it to the new position while keeping the left mouse button pressed.
After selecting the channel on the graph, by clicking with the right mouse button and choosing the item “Format Object” from the menu, the object setting window will open. CANC key to cancel.
Rectangle
Adds a rectangle to the graph, defined by 4 control points representing its corners.
To add a rectangle to the graph, simply click on the position on the graph where you intend to place it, keep the mouse button clicked and move to the opposite corner, and finally release the button. After adding the rectangle to the graph it is possible to move it by clicking on one of the control points of the rectangle itself to select it and then dragging it to the new position while keeping the left mouse button pressed.
After selecting the rectangle on the graph, clicking with the right mouse button and choosing “Format Object” from the menu, the object setting window will open. CANC key to cancel.
Gann Fan
Adds a Gann Fan to the graph, represented by a fan of lines oriented from left to right, and up or down, with predetermined inclinations. The angles of the lines are: 7.5 °, 15 °, 18.75 °, 26.25 °, 45 °, 63.75 °, 71.25 °, 75 °, 82.5 °.
To add the Gann Fan to the chart, simply click on the position on the chart where you intend to place it. After adding the Gann Fan to the graph it is possible to move it by clicking on the origin point of the lines to select it and then dragging it to the new position while keeping the left mouse button pressed. The orientation of the lines up or down is determined by the position of the second control point of the Gann Fan positioned to the right of the point of origin of the lines. To change the orientation of the Gann Fan, simply select and drag the second control point up or down.
After selecting the Gann Fan on the graph, clicking with the right mouse button and choosing the item “Format Object” from the menu, the object setting window will open. CANC key to cancel.
Free Hand
Adds a freehand drawing to the graph.
To add the drawing to the graph, simply click on the position on the graph where you intend to place it, keep the mouse button clicked and move on the graph tracing the different points that make it up, and finally release the button. Once the drawing has been placed on the graph it is no longer possible to move it to other positions.
After selecting the drawing on the graph, clicking with the right mouse button and choosing the item “Format Object” from the menu, the object setting window will open. CANC key to cancel.
Quadrant Lines
Adds to the chart a channel consisting of 5 horizontal lines equidistant from each other, automatically calculated starting from the prices included within the time interval defined by the channel itself. The upper line represents the Highest High of the period, the lower line represents the Lowest Low of the period, the distance between these two lines is finally divided into 4 parts determining the position of the 3 intermediate lines.
To add the channel to the graph, simply click on the graph on the initial bar where you intend to place it, keep the mouse button clicked and move to the final bar, and finally release the button. After adding the channel to the graph it is possible to move it by clicking on one of the control points to select it and then dragging it to the new position while keeping the left mouse button pressed.
After selecting the channel on the graph, by clicking with the right mouse button and choosing the item “Format Object” from the menu, the object setting window will open. CANC key to cancel.
Raff Regression
Adds to the chart a channel consisting of 3 lines, automatically calculated starting from the prices included within the time interval defined by the channel itself. The median line represents the Linear Regression of prices, while the lower and upper lines are spaced from the median by a value equal to the maximum distance of the High and Low prices with respect to the median itself in the time interval defined by the channel.
To add the channel to the graph, simply click on the graph on the initial bar where you intend to place it, keep the mouse button clicked and move to the final bar, and finally release the button. After adding the channel to the graph it is possible to move it by clicking on one of the control points to select it and then dragging it to the new position while keeping the left mouse button pressed.
After selecting the channel on the graph, by clicking with the right mouse button and choosing the item “Format Object” from the menu, the object setting window will open. CANC key to cancel.
Speed Lines
Adds the Speed Lines to the graph, represented by a fan of 3 lines oriented from left to right, and up or down. The lines are drawn starting from a common origin point and directed towards a second control point positioned on the graph. The line joining the two control points also determines the inclination of the other two lines, which have an angular coefficient equal, respectively, to one third and two thirds of the angular coefficient of the line drawn on the control points.
To add the Speed Lines to the graph, simply click on the position on the graph where you intend to place them, keep the mouse button clicked and move to the second control point, and finally release the button. After adding the Speed Lines to the graph it is possible to move them by clicking on the origin point of the lines to select it and then dragging it to the new position while keeping the left mouse button pressed. The slope of the lines is determined by the position of the second control point in relation to the point of origin of the Speed Lines. To change the slope of the lines, simply select and drag the second control point to a different position on the graph.
After selecting the Speed Lines on the graph, clicking with the right mouse button and choosing the item “Format Object” from the menu, the object setting window will open. CANC key to cancel.
Tirone Levels
Adds to the chart a channel consisting of 3 horizontal lines equidistant from each other, automatically calculated starting from the prices included within the time interval defined by the channel itself. The midline represents the median value between the Highest High and Lowest Low of the period, while the upper and lower lines are spaced from the midline by one third of the difference between the Highest High and Lowest Low.
To add the channel to the graph, simply click on the graph on the initial bar where you intend to place it, keep the mouse button clicked and move to the final bar, and finally release the button. After adding the channel to the graph it is possible to move it by clicking on one of the control points to select it and then dragging it to the new position while keeping the left mouse button pressed.
After selecting the channel on the graph, by clicking with the right mouse button and choosing the item “Format Object” from the menu, the object setting window will open. CANC key to cancel.
Arcs
Adds Fibonacci Arcs to the graph, represented by a series of concentric semicircles. The semicircles are drawn starting from a control point and directed towards the common origin. Only the upper or lower semicircles are drawn, depending on the position of the control point relative to the origin. The distance between the control point and the origin determines the size of the radius of the semicircles, which have a constant ratio between them. The radius have the ratios: 23.6%, 38.2%, 50%, 61.8%, 78.6%, 100%, 138.2% and 161.8%.
To add the Fibonacci Fans to the graph, simply click on the position on the graph where you intend to place the control point, keep the mouse button clicked and move to the point where the common origin of the arcs is to be positioned, and finally release the button. After adding the Fibonacci Arcs to the graph, you can move or resize them by clicking on the point of origin or on the control point and then dragging them to the new position while keeping the left mouse button pressed.
After having selected the Fibonacci Arcs on the graph, by clicking with the right mouse button and choosing the item “Format Object” from the menu, the object setting window will open. CANC key to cancel.
Fan
Adds a Fibonacci Fan to the chart, represented by a fan of 4 lines oriented from left to right, and up or down. The lines are drawn starting from a common origin point and directed towards a second control point positioned on the graph. The shorter line joining the two control points determines the inclination of the other lines, which have an angular coefficient equal to 38.2%, 50% and 61.8% of the coefficient of the angular line joining the two control points.
To add a Fibonacci Fan to the graph , click on the position on the graph where you intend to place it, click the mouse button and move to the second control point, and finally release the button. After adding the Fibonacci Fan to the graph it is possible to move it by clicking on the origin point of the lines to select it and then dragging it to the new position while holding down the left mouse button. The slope of the lines is determined by the position of the second control point versus the point of origin of the Fibonacci Fan. To change the slope of the lines, simply select and drag the second control point to a different position on the chart.
After having selected the Fibonacci Fan drawn on the graph, by clicking with the right mouse button and selecting the “Format Object” from the menu, the object entry window will open. CANC key to cancel.
Retracements
Adds to the graph the Fibonacci Retracements, which are made up of a series of 11 horizontal lines, whose position is calculated starting from the vertical distance between the two control points that define them. Considering 0% the vertical position of the first control point and 100% the second control point, the other lines are drawn at -61.8%, -27.2%, 21.4%, 38.2%, 50%, 61.8%, 76.84%, 127.2% and 161.8%.
To add Fibonacci Retracements to the graph, simply click on the graph on the position of the first control point, keep the mouse button clicked and move to the position of the second control point, and finally release the button. After adding the Fibonacci Retracements to the graph, you can move or resize them by clicking on one of the control points to select it and then dragging it to the new position while keeping the left mouse button pressed.
After having selected the Fibonacci Retracements on the graph, by clicking with the right mouse button and choosing the item “Format Object” from the menu, the object setting window will open. CANC key to cancel.
Time Zone
Adds to the graph the Fibonacci Time Zones, which are made up of a series of 8 vertical lines, whose position is calculated starting from the distance horizontally between the two control points that define them. Considering 0% the horizontal position of the first control point and 100% that of the second control point, the other lines are drawn at 4.8%, 9.5%, 14.3%, 23.8%, 38.1%, and 61.8%.
To add the Fibonacci Time Zone to the graph, simply click on the graph on the position of the first control point, keep the mouse button clicked and move to the position of the second control point, and finally release the button. After adding the Fibonacci Time Zones to the graph, you can move them by clicking on one of the control points to select it and then dragging it to the new position while keeping the left mouse button pressed.
After having selected the Fibonacci Time Zones on the graph, by clicking with the right mouse button and choosing the item “Format Object” from the menu, the object setting window will open. CANC key to cancel.
